ඔන්න ගොඩක් කාලෙකට පස්සෙ ආව. 2015 අවුරුද්දෙ පළමු වෙඩිමුරය තියන්නයි මේ සූදානම. ඒත් වෙඩිමුරේ ට කට්ටිය දොස්මුර තියන්න එපා මේක ගේන්න පමා වුණාට. ඉතිං ඔන්න මං වෙන චිත්‍රපටියක් බාර අරගෙන කර කර ඉන්නකොට අපේ සමීර සහෝදරයා මගෙන් ඇහුවා එයා ටිකක් කාර්යබහුලයි මට මේක කරන්න පුළුවන්ද කියල. ඒ වෙකොට සමීර සහෝ ඉවර කරල තිබුණ කොටස මට එව්වා. ඔන්න බොලේ දැක්කම තරු පෙණුනා. ලයින් තියනවා 3000 කට වැඩියෙන්. මේ දෙසැම්බරේ වුණ කතාවක් ඔයාලට කියන්නෙ. ලයින් ප්‍රමාණයයි, මටත් යෙදුන රාජකාරි කටයුතුයි අස්සෙ ඉක්මණට දෙන්න හිතං උන්න එක ප්‍රමාද වුණා. ඉතිං මේක ඉවර වෙලා එයාගෙ නම වත් දාන්න ඕනෙ නෑ කියපු අපේ නිහතමානී සමීර කරුණාරත්න සහෝ ඔන්න අහවරයි වැඩේ කියන්න තමයි තියෙන්නෙ. සමීර සහෝ ලස්සන ලිපියකුත් හදල දුන්න පල කරන්න.ඉතිං ඒක නිසා චිත්‍රපටය ගැන නැවත ලියන්නෑ, සමීර සහෝගෙ ලිපිය එහෙම්පිටින්ම පහල තියනවා. ඔන්න නම වත් දාන්න එපයි කීවට මං මේක අපි දෙන්නගෙම වැඩක් කියලයි හිතන්නෙ. කොමෙන්ටුවක් නම් දායි කියල හිතනවා කට්ටියම සෑහෙන ආයාසයකින් කල මේ වැඩේට. අලුතෙන් ලිපියක් නොලිව්වට මේ කාලය තුල චිත්‍රපටය දිනල තියන සම්මාන ගැන විස්තරයක් දාන්නම්. එහෙනං ගොහිං එන්නම්….

ඔන්න ආයෙත් බොහොම දෙනෙක් හැරිලාවත් නොබලන චිත්‍රපටයක් සඳහා උපසිරැස එකතු කරන්නයි මේ සුදානම. සාමාන්‍යන් චිත්‍රපටයක් නිර්මාණය කරනකොට එක් ළමා චරිතයක් වෙනුවෙන් එකසමාන රුපකායක් තියන විවිද වයස්වල ළමුන් කිහිපදෙනෙක් යොදාගන්නවා ඒ කතාවේ දරුවා කාලයක් එක්ක හැදී වැඩෙන ආකාරය පෙන්වීමට, එහෙම නැත්නම් CGI තාක්ෂණය යොදාගෙන අපේ ඇස රවටන්න තමයි සිනමාව හුරුපුරුදු වෙලා තියෙන්නේ. නමුත් යම් සිනමා පටයක් එක දරුවෙක් යොදාගෙන ඔහුගේ වර්ධනය අලලා වසර 12ක් ඔහුගේ ජීවිතය සිනමා කාචයේ සටහන් කරගත්තොත් එහෙම ඒක අලංකාර වැඩක් වේවි නේද ?

ඉතින් ඒ හීනය හිත දරාගෙන Richard Linklater වර්ෂ 2002 දී ආරම්භ කල මෑතක් වන තෙක් “The Untitled 12 Year Project” ලෙස පැවත අවසානයේ Boyhood ලෙසින් සිනමාවට පැමිණි මේ චිත්‍රපය ඇත්තටම අනෙක් සිනමා පට අතුරෙන් විශේෂ වූවක්‌. නිර්මාණ කාලය වසර 12 වීම හේතුවෙන් පුංචි මේසන් වගේම අනෙක් නළු නිළියන් ද වයසෙන් මුහුකුරා යන ආකාරය මිනිත්තු 165 වගේ තරමක් දිග කාලයක් පුරාවට දැකගන්න පුළුවනි ඔබට. මේසන් ලෙසින් එක්වන්නේ Ellar Coltrane නවක නළුවෙක් හැබැයි ලේසියෙන් කෙනෙක්ට උදා නොවෙන අවස්ථාවක් ලැබුවෙක් කියන්න පුළුවන් දැන් බොහොම අය තමුන් කුඩා කල ලෝකයට පෙන්වන්නට මුහුණු පුතේ ඒ ජයාරූප පළකරනවා නෙව, ඔහුට තියනවා සිනමා සිතුවමක්ම තමුන් වයසෙන් මුහුකුරා යන ආකාර පෙන්වන්නට ( රුගත කිරීම් ආරම්භ කරනා විට ඔහුගේ වයස අවුරුදු 7 වූ අතර අවසාන කරනා විට ඔහුගේ වයස අවුරුදු 18 ක් විය). ඔහුට අමතරව සුපිරි නළු Ethan Hawke එක්කාසු වෙනවා ඔහුගේ ජිව විද්‍යාත්මක පියාගේ චරිතයට. ඔහුටම තමයි හදිසියෙවත් අධ්‍යක්ෂකවරයා හට යම් අනතුරක් වුවහොත් ව්‍යාපෘතිය ගෙනියන්නට භාර වෙලා තිබුනෙත්. Patricia Arquette මෙසන්ගේ මව ලෙසත් (ඇයගේ වෙනස නම් බොහොම හොඳින් පෙනේවි), Lorelei Linklater සොහොයුරිය ලෙසත් ප්‍රධාන චරිත සඳහා වසර 12 පුරා ඔවුන්ගේ රංගන දායකත්වය ලබා දෙනවා.

IMBD දර්ශකය තුල 8.3/10 ඉහල අගයක් ලබාගෙන හොඳම 250 තුල 126 වන ස්ථානයේ මෙම සිනමා පටය රැදෙන්නට සමත්වන් අතරේ Rotten Tomatoes හි 100% විචාරක පැසසුම ලැබූ සිනමා නිර්මාණ අතලොස්ස අතරට එක්කාසු වෙන්නත් මේ සිනමා පටය සමත්කම් පාලා තියනවා. Letterboxd හි ලැබූ අගය 8.8 ක්. මිලියන 4 වගේ මුදලක් වැයකරලා ආදායම ලෙස මිලියන 43 ක් වගේ විශාල මුදලක් උපයා ගන්නත් මේ සිනමා නිර්මාණය සමත්වෙලා තියනවා.

කතාව නම් අලුතෙන් කියන්න දෙයක් නැති ගානයි දැනටම බොහොම දේ කියා තියනවා, කොහොම වුනත් කෙටියෙන් ආයේ කියන්නම් කතාව ගැන… මේසන් කියන්නේ හියුස්ටන්වල වාසල කරන දරුවෙක්. ඔහුගේ මව පියාගෙන් දික්කසාද වෙලයි ඉන්නේ. ඔවුන් විවිද ප්‍රශ්න හා ජිවිතයේ සන්ධිස්ඨාන වෙනුවෙන් පදිංචිය වෙනස් කරනා හැටි, ඒ සියල්ල කුඩා දරුවාගේ ජිවිතයට බලපාන හැටි, විවිද කාලවකවානුව තුල සමාජයේ පවතින විවිද ජනප්‍රිය රැළි තුල දරුවා වෙනස් වන ආකාරය. මේ සියල්ල එක්ක දෙමව්පියන් හා දරුවාගේ සම්බන්ධතාව, වගේම කිසියම් දේශපාලන සිදුවීම් ගැනත් පොඩ්ඩක් ඔබ මට හිතන්න ඉතුරු කරන කතාවක් තමයි තියෙන්නේ.
